SUMMARY

As a Mammography Tech, your demonstrated customer service and communication skills greatly assist you in obtaining images of good diagnostic quality, while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients.

STATUS: Full-Time

LOCATION: Imaging Center - Alexander Park; floating to different Ambulatory sites

DEPARTMENT: Radiology

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 7:30a-5:30p

RESPONSIBILITIES

Mammography. Perform and/or assists diagnostic, screening, ultrasound and interventional mammography procedures; perform daily and periodic Mammography Quality Assurance (QA) activities under the direct supervision of the mammography QA Technologist; monitor image quality on a continuous basis to ensure that all quality standards are metGeneral Maintenance. Monitor equipment for proper performance and functionality; clean, restock and prepare examination rooms on a daily basisDocumentation. Complete all necessary documentation in the radiological information system (RIS) and/or patient charts

EDUCATION:

AS: Radiologic Technology (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: 

RT(R) - Registered Radiologic Technologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED), RTC - Radiologic Technologist certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
