Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) has an opportunity for an Mammography Technologist at Gotham Health/Morrisania, an ambulatory community-based practice for the NYC Health + Hospitals System. Located on 1225 Gerard Avenue in the Bronx, Gotham Health/Morrisania has been serving the South Bronx for over 45 years. ResponsibilitiesFull-time Mammography Tech position available . Weekday 9am - 5pm
Evaluates exams for technical accuracy and confirms that completed examinations are delivered Documents the completion of each examination as required by protocolDemonstrates the knowledge of proper patient positioning, imaging techniques and equipment setting, producing high quality images, utilizing appropriate film markers. Excellent knowledge of imaging protocol is necessary to accommodate any variations due to patient condition.
Qualifications
Current license as a Radiologic Technologist as indicated by the NYS Department of HealthCurrent registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (AART) in MammographyCurrent certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)Proficient in all areas of general radiology and mammographyCompletion of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
