Mammography Technologist I or II - Galveston (20 hrs/wk, partial benefits)

MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNOILOGIST I

The Mammography Technologist I position works independently to complete screening, diagnostic mammographic, breast intervention & bone density exams. This includes common and special mammographic exams of moderate complexity. This position provides direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic and special breast procedures. This mammography Technologist I position delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to breast exam standards and guidelines established by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service. This position is a member of the direct patient care team.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates of Applied Science Graduate of an accredited Radiography Program 8 hours initial digital training 8 hours initial tomosynthesis training 0+ years of experience

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS

American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT-R) American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT-M) Texas Medical Board certification (MRT) American Heart Association (BLS)

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is for 20 hours / week with partial benefits and proportional accruals.

MAMMOGRAPHY TECHNOLOGIST II

The Mammography Technologist II position is an experienced technologist who completes a variety of routine and diagnostic, breast intervention, bone density, and breast ultrasound procedures. This includes common and special mammographic exams of high difficulty, as well as breast ultrasound exams and procedures. This position is a member of the direct patient care team and is fully competent in all aspects of breast exams.  The Mammography Technologist II position serves as a mentor & trainer to the Mammography Technologist I and students. This position works independently by exercising sound judgment and executing above average clinical skills on challenging diagnostic procedures The Mammography Technologist II position provides direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic and special ultrasound procedures. This position delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to breast imaging and ultrasound exam standards and guidelines established by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Minimum Qualifications:

Associates of Applied Science Graduate of an Accredited Radiography Program 8 hours initial digital training 8 hours initial tomosynthesis training Competency to perform bone densitometry, breast ultrasound and breast tomographic and ultrasound guided biopsy procedures 3+ years of experience

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS OR CERTIFICATIONS

American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT-R) American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT-M) Texas Medical Board certification (MRT) American Heart Association (BLS) American Registry for Diagnostic Sonography (RDMS-BR) or American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT-BS)
