Management Accountant - Maternity Cover

The finance team at Hearst works closely with our brands to prepare value adding analysis and insight to support business decisions. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

As the Management Accountant responsible for our Advertising and events business, you will work as a part of the Reporting & Planning team to deliver professional, efficient & accurate business reporting for your stakeholders. You will be liaising with both finance and non-finance personnel to prepare accurate budgets, forecasts, and reporting of actuals. 

Your role has a strong business partnering element and you will be required to provide insight to help maximise profits across the business. You will be responsible for the accurate reporting of revenue and costs associated with our businesses and ensuring that variances to forecast, budget and prior year are adequately explained. We require you to use sound judgement to estimate month end accruals/prepayments, gather supporting information and post appropriate journals.

Other duties include;

Business partnering – support the advertising business and add value through both revenue and cost analysis Reconcile relevant balance sheet accounts monthly to auditable standards including details of ageing, and any risks and opportunities.  Be proactive to identify inefficiencies in all processes, communicating impacts and proposing solutions.  Prepare additional analysis for your stakeholders to support their business needs

 

ABOUT YOU

You will have proven experience in a Management Accountant role as well as the ability to be organised and to critically analyse a large amount of data. You have at least intermediate level excel skills (pivot tables, vlookups etc.).
