Cvent is seeking a Manager of Meetings & Events to support Cvent's events program. This strategic role requires the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and a data-driven, results-oriented approach. The ideal candidate will possess strong time management skills, be forward-thinking, and have the ability to solve problems creatively in a dynamic environment. They will also demonstrate sound judgment in strategy meetings with management regarding new initiatives, budget discussions, and company events roadmaps. This position will work closely with the marketing and sales teams to ensure that every event is executed professionally and flawlessly. People management skills and experience leading a fast-paced team are essential. Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience negotiating with internal and external groups, the ability to propose new and innovative ideas, highly effective communication skills, and the ability to build constructive relationships. In This Role, You Will: Collaborate with the Team's Director of Events to execute a strategic corporate event strategy Manage the North America Event Design team based in the HQ (Tyson's office) responsible for producing 500+ events annually. Oversee team bandwidth, resource allocation, KPIs, and career pathing & development End-to-End planning and execution of events of varying size, scope & scale. Including but not limited to: Curating event design experiences that support the event objective, configuring event registration & other technical requirements, and executing event marketing deliverables Work directly with senior management to collaborate on HQ and company-wide initiatives Coordinate with teams across regions and product-focused marketing organization to ensure timely delivery of reports, management updates, and data dissemination to internal teams Assist in event projections and event road mapping, understanding audience generation event objectives, goals, budget targets, and analyzing cost and ROI Collaborate and report on large-scale strategic projects and timelines related to major company initiatives, events, and goals Source, negotiate, evaluate, and execute various venue & vendor agreements. Ability to achieve noticeable vendor savings within strict budgetary parameters, tracking financial benefits Maintain strong relationships with external vendors and identify appropriate new business relationships, championing the most productive partnerships for the company Here's What You Need: Minimum of 10 years of event planning, marketing, and people management experience Bachelor's degree required Must be located near Tyson's Corner, Virginia or have the ability to commute to the office 2+ days a week and on days with live events or in-office prep for upcoming events Experience managing large and complex contracts, budgets, and financial analysis Ability to analyze situations, identify and troubleshoot problems, and follow up until a resolution is achieved Strong project management and communication skills, ability to excel in a fluid, cross-functional team, deadline driven environment Ability to operate and provide value at both a macro/strategy-level and a micro/execution level Strong time management skills, ability to manage multiple time-sensitive, high priority projects simultaneously Strong negotiation and bid comparison experience with vendors Knowledge of the total marketing/sales mix, including campaign execution, program management, event marketing, logistics management and event technology, etc. Experience with managing a cross-functional team & working with international resources Strong executive presence and ability to interact with all levels of management within the company and experience working directly with C-Level/senior leadership Self-directed, self-motivation, and disciplined team player capable of hands-on execution and long-term business planning Quick learner and enthusiastic about ongoing development to better support the team & growing event program Strong knowledge of the MS Office suite, with expertise in Excel Strong knowledge & experience with using Event Marketing & Management solutions (Cvent) Knowledge & experience with these types of tools & technologies – CRM (Salesforce), Marketing Automation (Marketo), Project Management (Wrike/Clarizen/Jira), Travel & Expense Management (Concur) and other marketing technologies is a plus Physical Demands We are not able to offer sponsorship for this position.
