We have tremendous opportunities for a Manager Accountant to play a key role on our Assurance team.  We have openings for candidates residing in and around Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, and Albany, New York. Responsibilities Become familiar with The Bonadio Group's policies and proceduresDevelop positive working relationships with clients as well as with internal co-workersDevelop understanding of client’s business and aspects of client’s industryPrepare clear and concise working papers and financial statementsGenerate reports which identify and address areas of significant risk and evaluate overall effectiveness of operationsRecommend changes to policies and establish procedures that positively influence organization's operationWork on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trendsPrepare complex client correspondence including recommendations, technical issues and proposalsOversee the efforts of client service teams on client engagementsManage, develop, train and mentor staff and senior accountant colleaguesDevelop effective working relationships with internal and external clientsDeliver projects/engagements on time, within budget and to client's satisfactionRecognize the opportunity of providing new and innovative services and demonstrates the ability to pursue such opportunitiesRetain and develop new clients, including cultivate opportunities to cross-sell the firm’s full range of client servicesAdhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentialityHandle and manage multiple priorities, and deliver projects and engagements on time, within budget and to the client’s satisfactionOften must lead or participate in a cooperative effort among members of a project teamContinual learning of rules, regulations, and code of professional conduct of the AICPA and pronouncements of the FASB and AICPA Qualifications

Required:

A minimum of a bachelor's degree in accountingCPA certificationA minimum of seven years of related experienceProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Teams and OutlookProven ability to provide mentoring, leadership and examples of development of team membe

Preferred: 

Experience with ProSystems Engagement softwareInvolvement with community and/or professional organizations

Hours Of Operation:

Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through FridayOur summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday  We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however, the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times
