As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the CORPORATE & INVESTMENT BANK - Shared Services, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Job responsibilities

Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activitiesSets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaborationAnticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirementsManages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirementsCreates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Formal training or certification on Software Engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience. In addition, demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience.Experience leading technology projects and Experience managing technologistsHands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry, AWS, and container technologies such as Docker and KubernetesExperience in event driven, Micro services, and RESTful architectureExperience with variety of data and persistence technologies such as SQL, No-SQL, and caching platformsHands-on development and programming experience on the Java 8+/Java EE stack including functional and reactive development models, hands on experience on the latest Spring & Spring Boot FrameworkProficient in automation and continuous delivery methodsAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and SecurityExperience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplinePreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skillsExperience with JavaScript/Typescript, Python, Node is a plusExperience working collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
