THE IMPACT YOU CAN HAVE * This position is 100% onsite at our DC in Jacksonville, FL* Under the general supervision of the Director, Human Resources – Distribution Centers supports day-to-day administration of employee relations for the Distribution Center. Provides an open line of communication to the DC associates, supervisors and managers to ensure policies and disciplinary actions are followed properly, provides clarification and resolves issues by being a mediator. Responsible for the entire lifecycle of filling open positions for the DC. Major Responsibilities Facilitates Distribution Center Manager and Supervisor training in regards to HR policies and procedures. Provides HR support and structure in the areas of employee relations, legal compliance, policies and procedure development. Partners with management staff on progressive discipline. Investigates, reports and resolves conflicts, harassment and discrimination. Handles and responds to DHR and EEOC charges. Coordinates exempt and non-exempt reviews in partnership with corporate, DC management and HR department. Partners with DC management to determine hiring needs, develop staffing plans, and recommend methods to meet staffing objectives. Manages recruiting process from beginning to end, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, scheduling, offer letters, new hire orientations and processing new hire paperwork. Manages the placement of temporary employees in the DC through a partnership with the selected vendor. Coordinates leave of absences and open enrollment process in partnership with the corporate benefits team. Represents the company for unemployment claims. Other duties as assigned, including projects related to the business. THE ESSENTIALS FOR SUCCESS Undergraduate degree and 5 years of HR experience, or equivalent combination of education and HR work experience. Minimum of 1 – 2 years of HR experience in a distribution center or large retail environment. Ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels within the organization. Developed project management skills. Ability to adjust work schedule according to the business needs. Ability to travel to the corporate office in Chicago or other distribution centers as needed.
