JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Marketing Manager role at 1-800 Radiator & A/C plays a critical role in both B2B sales activities & marketing within the organization. 1-800 Radiator & A/C is a wholesale automotive parts distributor widely recognized as among the best in the business by industry professionals. The primary responsibilities of the role are as follows:

Responsibilities

Acquire deep knowledge & understanding of the brand’s current identity, present opportunities for improvement, & ensure sales/marketing efforts are in-line with brand identity or enhance itUncover insights & develop an understanding of what drives the purchasing behavior of existing B2B customers & prospects within each key customer segment including Passenger Cars & Light Trucks as well as Commercial VehiclesThrough communication & relationships with franchisees, understand their needs & behaviors to ensure network support & adoption of marketing programs developedTranslate behavioral knowledge into executable sales & marketing programs through the company’s primary marketing channels:Sales visitsOutbound callsPhysical mailersDigital promotionsDevelop effective sales aides, promotional offers, internal sales contests, & program training that help drive the effectiveness of our outside sales representative channelCreate & maintain a marketing calendar optimized for the seasonality of certain products & market segmentsCollaborate with analytics & the Director of Sales to optimize targeting of sales & marketing campaignsConceptualize & execute new marketing pilots to test new ideas to grow market share under the guidance of our marketing committee, the Director of Sales, & the Brand PresidentLeverage the CRM & analytics to produce actionable reports on KPIs & resultsKeep our network (franchise owners, managers, & staff) abreast of critical information through regular communications including emails & newslettersCoordinate with & manage relationships with key marketing vendors that provide products &/or services to our networkMeet periodic & annual objectives to grow market share to meet or exceed budgetManage & balance a complex multi-million dollar marketing budgetResearch & assess brand positioning & make recommendations for improvementsProduce actionable new & exciting ideas that can be leveraged to enhance the brand’s marketing ROI through tools such as social media, Ai, & channel expansionWork with our New Products team to develop go-to-market strategies related to product expansion

Qualifications

Experience or applicable skills in development & implementation of marketing for a field-based sales force (5+ years preferred)Experience in B2B marketing in an industry with a finite customer-based where consistently high retention rates are criticalStrong analytic skills using Excel (required) & ideally SQL. Python skills a strong plus.Digital advertising experience using highly refined criteria to efficiently target an audience using SEO, social media, & other tools. Experience using mobile IP data to pinpoint targets highly preferredAble to conceptualize, propose, develop, A/B test, & report on marketing pilots heavily reliant on delivery through an outside salesforceExceptional attention to detail with regards to copy write, testing methodology, reporting, & communicationsHighly organized with the ability to prioritize & manage multiple projects at a time as well as maintain a repository of marketing assetsAbility & experience managing a complex budgetComfortable occasionally presenting on stage to groups of up to 250 peopleRefined leadership & persuasive skillsDirect sales management experience a strong plusUp to 10% TravelThis role will be hybrid out of Benicia, California, with a Tuesday – Thursday weekly in-office work schedule plus Mondays & Fridays with the option to work remotely

Base pay offered may vary depending on actual location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Supplemental pay types may include commissions or bonus incentives, depending on the role.
