Location Description Hawks Cay Resort, an iconic destination resort in the Florida Keys, reopened in August 2018 following a $50 million renovation. A recipient of the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award and a member of the Preferred Hotel Group Lifestyle Collection, this 60-acre, tropical destination boasts 177 guestrooms and 250 two • and three-bedroom villas, a full-service marina, six restaurants, saltwater lagoon, five swimming pools, kid and teen clubs and spa. Overview Property Marketing Manager: Execute marketing activities for the property as directed by the Director of Sales and Marketing and the General Manager. Create and execute local e-marketing campaigns and make changes to the property’s web site. Coordinate initiatives with marketing partners and maintain applicable planning documents. REPORTS TO: Directly to the Director of Sales & Marketing. On-going communication and collaboration with the property’s General Manager, Director of Food and Beverage, Director of Golf, Director of SIS and The Academy, Director of Conference Services, Director of Rooms, Area Director of Revenue Management and Resort’s Marketing and Advertising partners. POSITION SUMMARY: Manage and maintain property website. Plan and execute media strategy within budget levels. Coordinate social media efforts. Develop internal marketing communications. Coordinate e-marketing efforts. Maintain multiple event calendars. Write and coordinate tourism marketing grant efforts. Communicate with internal departments to develop a weekly activity guide. Run weekly, monthly and quarterly Sales Reports. Provide additional assistance as directed by the Director of Sales and Marketing. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manage the property’s web site/sites. Audit and make updates to the property websites. Work with property departments to ensure web sections are accurate, current and Ensure Internet Specials and other promotions are optimized for maximum sales. Work with agencies to ensure the web site is optimized for search engine returns and PPC ads are providing maximum ROI. Develop Reporting on website performance and ROI digital spend. Execute agreed upon direct marketing campaigns. Create and implement local e-mail campaigns Coordinate with agency on execution of primary direct marketing initiatives. Coordinate e-mail capture program in all outlets. Coordinate advertising campaigns digital, print, consumer and industry publications. Public Relations: Coordinate agreed upon public relation activities including press visits and events with outside agency. Coordinate marketing and PR related to special events. Manage Social Media accounts: Facilitate social media web sites and campaigns. Create/manage social media web sites including Facebook, Twitter, etc. Coordinate social media influencer visits Manage pro-active posting or work with assigned agency and follow up to travel sites including Trip Advisor, Yahoo Travel, etc. Work with the Director of Sales & Marketing to develop content (photos, videos, text) to post to social media channels including Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, etc. Management of Third-party Sites: Consistently audit and update third-party listings including CVB to ensure images, offers and descriptions are accurate. Maintain updated content on 3rd party websites such as OTAs, OpenTable, Yelp etc. Ensure CVENT Teneo, Helm Briscoe and other third parties have updated information and current promotions. On Property Marketing and Sales Collateral: Develop property signs, posters in room collateral ensuring adherence to brand guidelines. Create sales/promotional flyers as needed for property outlets, sales events/tradeshows etc. Property Meetings and Communication: Coordinate/lead and maintain property meetings & agendas to drive programming, events & holiday calendars, and activations. Attend and actively participate by providing marketing solutions for revenue shortfalls in the weekly Revenue Strategy Meeting. Ensure team members are aware of on property events, press/media, or PR visits. Sales and Marketing Reports/Presentations Prepares and distributes daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly sales and marketing reports to sales staff, directors and the Home Office including: Develops Owner presentation and reports at the direction of the Director of Sales and Marketing. Produces reports and graphs for and coordinates property’s annual Marketing Plan. Reports as requested by the Director of Sales and Marketing or other departments Facilitate the tracking and reporting of all marketing expenditures. MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: Maintain a professional demeanor at all times and maintain work area in a professional, orderly manner. Present a positive company image through all phases of public and/or customer interaction. Interface positively with other departments, offering assistance when needed. Functions listed above are not exhaustive and other duties will be assigned as determined by the needs of the resort. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & WORK EXPERIENCE College degree or Associate degree with experience. Excellent computer skills, including desk-top publishing. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Graphic Design experience preferred but not required (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc) 1-2 years of Marketing experience in a relevant field (Previous Hospitality experience a plus). Knowledge of current digital marketing and social media marketing trends and best practices. Experience managing social media channels for business. Must be able to analyze data and communicate effectively with peers and superiors in a positive manner. Outgoing and self-motivating individual with pleasant personality. Ability to listen, speak and write English to ascertain and respond to vendor needs.
