Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

In this position, you will assist the Laser Operator by supplying the necessary materials for processing. You must be proficient in operating a forklift, as well as other tools and equipment, to ensure smooth material handling operations.

ResponsibilitiesWork efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Check, sort, and count incoming materials.Assist in preparing warehouse operations for expansion.Label shelves, parts, and bins appropriately.Move materials from the receiving area throughout the facility.Help warehouse team with relocating raw materials to correct storage or staging locations.Perform cycle counts daily, weekly, and monthly as needed.Count, weigh, and record the number of material units.Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves.Unload trucks as necessary.Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department lead.Follow safety rules and maintain a clean and orderly work area.Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.Essential SkillsForklift operation and certification.Experience in a manufacturing environment.Ability to use hand tools and read/use a tape measure.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with materials handling and heavy equipment operation is a plus.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

This role is for the 3rd shift, running from 5pm to 3:30am, with 10-15 hours of mandatory overtime. A 15% shift differential is offered. The work environment is clean and safety-focused, with all necessary tools provided. The facility can be hot in the summer, but doors are kept open for ventilation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
