Our client, a leader in the light industrial sector, is seeking a Material Handler I to join their team. As a Material Handler I, you will be part of the logistics department supporting the shipping and receiving operations. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to safety which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Material Handler I

Location: Chicago, IL (Bedford Park)

Pay Range: $20.00 Hourly

What's the Job?

Load, unload, and store finished products, raw materials, supplies, and containers. Ensure compliance with all governmental regulations and proper plant procedures. Maintain accurate records of production and shipping orders in computer systems. Prepare trailers for loading and review material for customer and government requirements. Keep warehouse areas clean and orderly, ensuring good housekeeping practices.

What's Needed?

High school education or equivalent; must be able to read, write, and speak English. Minimum of one year of experience as a Packager/Utility Operator or equivalent industrial experience. Sitdown Forklift experience required  Ability to pass a forklift driver skills test. Proficiency in using desk and hand-held computer equipment. Capability to lift at least 50 pounds and work in a safe manner.
