Summary

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for completing all tasks associated with maintaining the facility, buildings, grounds, and infrastructure equipment, of Grace Medical Center including its off-campus buildings.   

Under limited supervision, installs, repairs, and maintains all physical elements of the institution to ensure a safe environment for all patients, visitors, and staff. 

In general, tasks that will be completed include: Corrective Work Order completion, Preventative Maintenance completion, problem identification and resolution, determination of material and supplies required for problem resolution, documentation of activities, utilization of the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and communicating with the Hospital’s and Facilities department’s management.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Journeyman Certificate preferred High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Experience: 5-7 years Requires knowledge and experience with mechanical, electrical and other infrastructure systems. Experience working in a hospital or industrial/manufacturing environment. Moderate computer skill level, daily usage. High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Documented training and/or experience in and working knowledge of 120v/208v/277v Electrical. Documented training and/or experience in and working knowledge of pump repair and motor alignment. Documented training in and working knowledge of HVAC, compressor/vacuum pump repair. Must hold a valid Maryland Driver’s license and a good driving record

Employees in this position are subject to be on-call one week at a time (Monday-Sunday) every fourth week to cover emergency after hour/weekend/holiday calls.
