Position Description:
The Mechanic shall carry out assignments and complete work orders as directed by the Staff Chief Engineer with regards to maintenance and repair work on the various systems and components throughout the vessel’s engine spaces, pump rooms, casing, shaft alleys and other associated areas. The holder of this position must be a highly skilled technician, capable of working with minimum supervision and
with the ability to carry out advanced troubleshooting , maintenance and repair works.

Contract 6 months +/-1, salary in USD/per month worked

Essential Requirements :

- Must have C1/D visa

- Familiar with overhauling and maintaining mechanical equipment throughout the vessel.

- Good knowledge and skill in operation of various motorized machine shop tools including drill press, lathe, grinder etc.

- Carry out fabrication and repair of various steelworks, including aluminium and stainless steel.

- Carry out welding, including TIG and MIG as required.

- Fabricate, install and repair of general plumbing system and components, working in steel, copper and various composite materials.

- Assist in overhauling of propulsion and auxiliary systems when necessary

- 3 or more years progressive tech. experience & training in the field

- min 2years cruise ship experience

- Confident in international work environment

 - High level of English spoken and comprehension
