Prestage Farms is seeking a self-motivated, skilled mechanic to join our team. This is a night position, which consist of Sunday through Thursday from 6pm to 6am. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining both gas and diesel vehicles, to ensure that they are fully functional. This position requires a person that has good eye-hand coordination with excellent problem-solving abilities; as well as, knowledgeable in electronical and mechanical systems. Responsibilities + Diagnose and repair of general automotive gasoline and diesel vehicles. + Preventive maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, engine tune ups, etc. + Must be able to work independently and maintain a safe and orderly work area. + Maintain and repair vehicles in a timely manner. + Perform other mechanical duties as assigned by shift supervisor. Requirements + High school Diploma or GED + At least 2 years of automotive job-related experience + The ability to write, read, count, add, subtract, and apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions. + Must possess and maintain a valid NC class C driver's license and a satisfactory driving record. + minimum age of 18 + must be able to lift/move materials/equipment's up to 90lbs.
