Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities + Designing, analyzing and testing new products and/or product enhancements assuring they are built to specification + Analyzing and testing existing products to identify areas for improvement + Collaborating with other Engineers, Designers, Project Managers, and Production Team + Generating detailed design models and resulting machining drawings in SolidWorks + Developing and building prototypes to test their function + Conducting user research through field trials and other means to identify consumer needs + Researching new materials and how they are best applied + Ensuring assembly is completed to design specifications and industry standards Mechanical Design Engineer Skills and Qualifications + Exceptional problem-solving and math skills + Strong attention to detail + Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D modeling software + Project management and leadership skills + Product-focused creative thinking + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Organization and effective time management + In-depth knowledge of industry design principles Mechanical Design Engineer Education Requirements + Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology + Experience working with the machining of parts is preferred + EIT or PE preferred Ref: #208-Eng Tulsa System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, CM Access, TPGS, and MOUNTAIN, LTD., are leaders in delivering workforce solutions and integrated services across North America.
