Job Description
Complete engineering projects by analyzing problems and organizing and controlling project elements.Provide expert advice on design processes and construction methods. Formulate and direct investigations or prototype, model, and system studies, analyze and interpret data obtained, and recommend practical applications of results. Demonstrate the ability to perform reviews of complex calculations and design deliverables. Analyze problems, investigate, and establish general performance specifications for components, equipment, systems, and processes. Evaluate mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials. Collaborate with team members on projects to determine priorities and implications on the work of others. Provide effective solutions and define appropriate deliverables that clients need to solve issues. Approve work schedules and make recommendations for increased resources and special equipment.Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited school8-10+ years of relevant work experienceWorking knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations for mechanical engineering design of nuclear power plantsExperience designing in the Nuclear industryWorking knowledge of Nuclear Quality Assurance StandardsGood time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsKnowledge and implementation of client Engineering Change Control process of nuclear power generation utilities
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.70 - $76.92/hr.
