Job Description
We are seeking a talented and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial in enhancing our manufacturing capabilities through innovative machine design and upgrading existing machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with a focus on automation, machine design, and small part equipment design.
ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop new machinery and automation systems to improve manufacturing efficiency and product quality.Upgrade and optimize existing machines to enhance performance, reliability, and safety.Design equipment for handling and processing small parts, ensuring precision and efficiency.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and maintenance, to ensure seamless integration of new and upgraded machines.Utilize CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) to create detailed designs and technical drawings.Conduct feasibility studies, cost analysis, and risk assessments for new machine designs and upgrades.Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new and upgraded machines.Provide technical support and training to production staff on the operation and maintenance of machinery.Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement initiatives.Essential SkillsMechanical design expertiseProficiency in machine designStrong background in mechanical engineeringExperience with sheet metalProficiency in CAD software, including SolidWorks and AutoCADAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related fieldMinimum of 3+ years of experience in machine design and automation, preferably in a manufacturing environmentProven experience in designing equipment for small partsWork Environment
The role operates within a manufacturing environment where innovative machine design is key. The successful candidate will work with state-of-the-art CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD, collaborating with various teams to ensure the seamless integration of machinery upgrades and new designs.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
