Mechanical & Physical Engineer - Driveline Design & Release Engineer

We are seeking an expert Driveline Axles Product Development Support professional to join our team. This role involves working closely with multi-functional teams to contribute to the design, engineering, and successful launch of driveline and axles products. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in product engineering, design, and release processes, with a minimum of 5 years of proven experience. Experience with NX and Teamcenter software is a plus.

Your role:
Product Engineering / Design Releasing: Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and refine driveline and axles products.Generate detailed designs, perform feasibility studies, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.Develop DFMEA and Evaluate Designs: Develop Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) documentsEvaluate designs for potential failure modes and recommend design improvements to improve product reliability and safetyDVPR (Design Verification Plan Report): Supply to the creation of DVPR documents outlining testing and validation procedures. Work with testing teams to ensure successful execution and documentation of verification tests.CAE Reviews with CAE Team: Participate in CAE (Computer-Aided Engineering) reviews with the CAE team.Provide feedback, evaluate simulations, and supply to refining designs based on CAE analysis.Supervising Sourcing with Purchasing: Work closely with the purchasing department to monitor the sourcing of components and materials required for the products.Ensure timely availability of resources while adhering to cost and quality considerations.Supplier Technical Reviews: Support technical reviews with suppliers to ensure alignment on design specifications, manufacturing processes, and quality standards. Address any technical concerns and collaborate on resolution.Support Pre-Pilot/Launch Activities: Play a crucial role in pre-pilot and product launch activities. Collaborate with multi-functional teams to ensure readiness for production, addressing any last-minute design or engineering adjustments.Tooling Kick Off: Participate in tooling kick-off meetings to ensure accurate and timely development of required manufacturing tools and equipment.Lead and guide the processes for implementing design changes, ensuring detailed evaluation, documentation, and implementation to minimize disruptions.Your skills and experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a field related to Mechanical Engineering. Advanced degree is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience in product engineering, design, and releasing, preferably in driveline and axles domain.Proficiency in CAD software, particularly NX, and experience with Teamcenter is advantageous.Strong understanding of DFMEA, DVPR, and CAE processes.Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and suppliersLife at Capgemini
