Job Summary + Assist care for patients in the clinic setting. + Develop long-term, rewarding relationships with a unique subset of patients. + Work collaboratively with other clinic staff to solve practice-related problems. Education and/or Experience + Graduate from a Medical Assistant program with an Associate’s degree or diploma preferred. + Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred. Certification, Licensure, Registration + National Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAAMA); or + National Registration as a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through the American Medical Technologist (AMT); or + National Certification as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through the National Health Career Association and Medical Assistant diploma. + Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of the employment and every 3 years thereafter.
