Job Summary

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of laboratory instrumentation or disciplines including supply inventory, quality control, calibration and reagent preparation. Accurately perform complex clinical laboratory testing following established procedure. Communicate data and pertinent technical information to appropriate departments, healthcare providers and individuals in timely fashion. Provide instructions on proper pre-analytical specimen collection, specimen handing, and storage guidelines for various body fluids.

Education and/or Experience

Associate's degree in MLT or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school required. Six months to one year related experience and/or training preferred.

 Certification, Licensure, Registration

Certification as Medical Laboratory Technician from the ASCP or AMT required within 12 months of hire.
