The **Medical Science Liaison (MSL) – Immunology (West Region)** is a field-based, remote position that plays a critical role within Kedrion Biopharma’s Medical Affairs team. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining credible, peer-to-peer scientific relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare providers (HCPs), and other external stakeholders across the western United States.
As a trusted scientific resource, the MSL supports the safe and effective use of Kedrion’s immunology therapies through clinical education, exchange of scientific data, and the communication of emerging trends and insights. This role is vital to driving Kedrion’s mission of improving the lives of patients with rare and serious conditions by ensuring that our medical and scientific strategies are rooted in real-world clinical needs.
The MSL partners cross-functionally with internal teams such as Clinical Development, Regulatory, Commercial, and Market Access to support product launches, clinical research, stakeholder engagement, and broader organizational strategy.
This position requires at least 50% travel, including occasional weekends and international, and is ideal for candidates located near a **major airport** within the Western U.S. (preferred states: **California, Texas, Illinois** ).
**Responsibilities**
+ Build and maintain strong, credible relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), clinicians, academic institutions, and advocacy organizations.
+ Communicate complex scientific and clinical data related to Kedrion’s immunology portfolio in a clear, compliant, and engaging manner.
+ Serve as a scientific expert and liaison between the medical community and Kedrion’s internal teams.
+ Deliver disease-state and product education to healthcare professionals and internal stakeholders.
+ Respond to scientific inquiries, including unsolicited off-label requests, in a compliant and evidence-based way.
+ Support clinical development initiatives, advisory boards, speaker programs, and publication strategies.
+ Share insights from the field that contribute to scientific planning, product innovation, and market strategy.
+ Participate in scientific conferences and meetings to stay current on emerging data and trends.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues in Medical Affairs, R&D, Commercial, Regulatory, and Market Access.
+ Develop and execute strategic territory engagement plans aligned with national medical objectives to maximize scientific exchange and field impact.
+ Support clinical trial activities by identifying potential investigators, engaging with research sites, and facilitating scientific collaboration.
+ Gather and synthesize field insights on treatment patterns, unmet needs, and competitive trends to inform internal planning and strategy.
+ Provide medical input on training and educational content for internal and external use, ensuring scientific accuracy and relevance.
+ Contribute to cross-functional initiatives, such as launch planning and brand strategy, by offering a medical-scientific perspective and aligning KOL engagement activities.
**Qualifications**
+ Advanced degree in a life science or clinical discipline (PharmD, PhD, MD strongly preferred)
+ Minimum 2 years of MSL or related medical/scientific experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or plasma industry
+ Strong clinical and/or research experience in immunology, neurology, or rare disease is preferred
+ Proven ability to engage in scientific exchange and deliver compelling presentations
+ Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships across diverse audiences
+ High level of integrity, professionalism, and compliance with industry regulations
+ Proficiency with digital tools and virtual communication platforms
+ Valid driver's license and clean driving record
+ Must reside near a major airport within the Western U.S.
