Do you consider yourself to be a highly technical, strong communicator with the desire to work in a team environment on complex projects? Gilbane is seeking an MEP Manager to define the MEP execution process, oversees all MEP staff and work on a single, large construction project. The MEP Manager may be the Project Manager on projects that are predominantly MEP. This role will sit primarily on the job site, with occasional travel to the office for trainings, meetings, etc.

Responsibilities Approve all MEP and Commissioning schedulesAssist with the preparation of the GMPSupervise MEP subcontracting strategies and originate Scopes of Work for MEP bid packages and equipmentNegotiate pricing and change orders with contractors and equipment manufacturersPerform MEP constructability (IDC+) and coordination reviews of contract documentsProvide guidance and approve the MEP Contractors schedule of valuesDefine best approach for MEP buyoutEnsure timely and proper execution of the MEP Coordination Process (BIM)Create a project specific MEP quality plan and verify its proper executionPerform site inspections for MEP compliance with contract documentsEstablish and implement controls to identify and correct negative trends affecting the CX programCommunicate with the owner/owner’s representative on a regular basis to understand expectations and ensure customer satisfaction Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

 BS OR MS degree in mechanical or electrical engineering 20+ years related field experience 10+ years in a supervisory role on 50+ million healthcare construction projects required Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to manage a large and complex project that is predominately MEPAbility to manage and mentor less experienced staff membersStrong scheduling skills and proficiency in P6Demonstrate strong risk management skillsMust be able to create an environment where “safety first” is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitudeOSHA 30 hour certified
