Metrology Inspector
Job Title: Metrology Inspector Job Code: IPSE Job ID: 9223 Job Location: Orlando, FL Job Schedule: 9/80 (Every other Friday off) Job Description: We are currently seeking an experienced Metrology Inspector in our Orlando, FL location. The selected individual will be responsible for ensuring that hardware meets all requirements as outlined in design documentation, standards, and specifications such as J-STD-001, IPC-620, military specifications and the like. Essential Functions: + Obtain, and maintan, a US government security clearance + Utilize metrology tools and techniques to ensure components meet all approved requirements outlined in design documentation, standards, and specifications + Review documentation and objective evidence to ensure compliance to requirements + Communicate and collaborate with team to identify problems, solutions, and areas for improvement + Cross-train with team members to increase knowledge base + Travel to customer and other sites as needed (10%) Qualifications: + High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 10 years of prior inspection experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 6 years of prior inspection experience. + Knowledge of hardware acceptance + Knowledge of industry standards and quality specifications + Ability to use calipers, scales, micrometers, and height gages + Ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering drawings, product specifications, test procedures, MIL standards and requirements + Ability and willingness to work weekends and/or overtime if necessary Preferred Additional Qualifications: + Active US goverment security clearance + AWS Welding Certification + Ability to use FARO arm, CMM, or similar equipment + Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions + Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non technical professionals at all levels + Certifications and/or Training (such as ASQ, IPC, J-STD) + Ability to use software such as TipQA, CostPoint, PDM + L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
