**Mid-Level Distribution Engineer** Location **Austin** Job Code **16088** \# of openings **1** Apply Now (https://phh.tbe.taleo.net/phh04/ats/careers/v2/applyRequisition?org=POWERENGINEERS&cws=44&rid=16088) **Mid-Level Distribution Engineer** POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Distribution Engineer for the Power Delivery Distribution Department in Austin, Texas. **Roles and Responsibilities** + The qualified candidate should be familiar with the design and operation of utility electrical systems which they can apply their knowledge for developing new designs + The ability to apply engineering calculations to various project challenges to develop the most complete and competent design + Perform quality reviews of project deliverables **Required Education/Experience** + A BSEE, BSEET, BSME or BSCE degree, from an ABET accredited university, preferably with a power option + Three (3) + years of experience in the design and operation of overhead and underground distribution lines (4 kV through 35 kV) + The qualified candidate should be experienced with utility standards, joint facilities design, compatible units, and construction package development + Prior utility experience + Familiarity with distribution design software, both overhead and underground, the National Electric Safety Code, and utility best practices + Strong command of the English language and possess good written and oral communications skills + Must be able to successfully pass client's background screening process + Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record **Desired Education/Experience** + Professional Engineering license (P.E.) or equivalent in the state of Texas, or ability to achieve P.E. within six (6) months of hire date + Exposure to utility Geographical Information Systems (GIS); GE Smallworld, ArcFM, DDS etc. + The ability to lead and direct a team of engineers, designers, and drafters + Travel should be expected At POWER Engineers, you can have a rewarding career on every level.
