What you’ll be doing:

As part of the Enterprise Tools Engineering team at Staples, you’ll bring your subject matter expertise to bear by innovating, integrating, and automating to improve efficiency and productivity with the New Relic One platform. You will also partner closely with multiple cross-functional domain teams including Development, Performance Engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering to deliver integration, performance metrics, and observability across the enterprise.

You’ll seek continuous improvement by applying best practices and making recommendations to leadership on opportunities to leverage New Relic to solve complex business problems and improve the availability, performance, and overall digital experience of our B2B and B2C platforms. You will help administer our New Relic instance and help develop our roadmap while meeting specific business needs.

What you bring to the table:

Showcase experience in observability best practices working with New Relic or similar tools (Dynatrace, DataDog, AppDynamics, or other similar APM suites), delivering solutions across all environments, and integrating platforms and applications with monitoring and APM tools.Demonstrate strong customer focus with excellent organizational and communication skills.Execute strong cross-functional collaboration and leadership.Adapt and innovate to ensure the success of both Staples and the Enterprise Tools Engineering team.Constantly challenge yourself by actively seeking new ways to grow using both formal and informal development channels.Foster an inclusive environment by welcoming diversity.Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Puppet, Jenkins, Terraform, AnsibleKnowledge of data visualization and dashboards

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications:

1+ year of experience with Linux, UNIX, and Windows operating systems1+ year of experience with monitoring and observability solutions (examples: performance monitoring, infrastructure monitoring, network monitoring)1+ year of experience with SQL1+ year of experience with one or more programming/scripting languages (Examples: Python, JavaScript, Java, PHP, PowerShell, BASH/Shell)

What’s needed- Preferred Qualifications:

CI/CD tools such as Puppet, Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform Log monitoring experiencePublic Cloud experience (Azure, GCP, or AWS)Agile/Scrum methodology
