Multifamily Risk and Controls, Business Lead (Hybrid - 3 Days in Office)

Position Overview:

Governance and Business Services (GBS) is part of the 1st Line within the Multifamily Division at Freddie Mac. GBS is responsible for identifying and measuring operational risks, analyzing and reporting on risks, and collaborating with management across the company. The successful candidate will support and provide expertise and guidance in MF’s Operational and Compliance Risk team(s) as well as divisional business and risk team members to assess risk, design and implement appropriate controls, coordinate remediation efforts, investigate operational events, and consolidate the division’s regulatory and compliance risk profile for senior management! Engage and collaborate with the process owners to understand their process areas and provide guidance on managing operational risk, specifically operational resiliency and vendor management.

Represent Multifamily in operational risk matters across the organization.

Foster a risk-driven culture across the division and encourage innovation.

Your Impact:

As an integral part of our high-performance team, your primary categories of work include:

Manage and support projects and ad-hoc tasks as assigned

Partner with subject matter experts to help them realize goals/desired outcomes

Work to successfully drive projects to completion, on-time and within budget

Manage all elements of the project delivery lifecycle, including:

Meeting facilitation, meeting minutes, RAID

Collaborate with internal stakeholders

Support Divisional reporting of risk assessment results

Monitor and report on risks and issues

Provide support to the MF control self-testing teams, as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

8 – 10 years of work experience, including experience in audit or risk management

Experience in conducting risk assessments

Prior project management experience

Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint skills.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $121,000 - $181,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
