Job Type Full-time Description Navigator (Livingston County) Navigator Program, NYS Department of Health FULL TIME Nonexempt: 40 hours Pay Rate: $19.23/hr Coordinated Care Services Inc (CCSI)seeks a talentedNavigatorto contribute their expertise in providing essential business services to our provider organizations and customers. This position will support Livingston County. TheNavigatorwill provide in person, culturally competent linguistically appropriate, and disability accessible health, insurance application assistance to individuals, families, and small businesses through the NY State of Health Marketplace. Coordinated Care Services, Inc is a nonprofit, management services organization located in Rochester, New York working with NY State of Health Marketplace. CCSI is partnering withNY State of Health Marketplaceto hireaNavigator.This position is employed by CCSI and working on behalf ofNYS Department of Health. In this role, you will + Provide in person assistance to families, individuals and small businesses seeking health insurance through the NY State of Health Marketplace. + Educate the enrollee about the Affordable Care Act, Medicaid, Child Health Plus and Qualified Health Plans offered through the NY State of Health Marketplace. + Assist enrollee with health insurance enrollment. + Assist small businesses with enrollment in the SHOP Exchange + Advocate on behalf of enrollees to ensure health insurance coverage. + Maintain confidentiality at all times. + Attend local community events to provide education and awareness about the NY State of Health Marketplace and the Affordable Care Act. + Agree to operate as a neutral party in the health plan selection. + Distribute NY State of Health insurance materials in English and other appropriate languages. + Attend Navigator State Training to be trained and certified. + Attend monthly Navigator meetings + Other duties as assigned Requirements + High School Diploma or equivalency and 1-2 years of work experience or equivalent education and work experience (see CCSI's equivalency chart (https://www.ccsi.org/CCSI/media/pdfs/Equivalency-chart.pdf) ) + Experience in a professional interviewing capacity in various commercial, insurance, banking, or government business settings to include interviewing experience involving personal, claims, unemployment, customer service, etc., or II. + experience in responsible public contact work such as social welfare-oriented experience in such field as claims evaluation, insurance, unemployment, disability, etc., and similar health and human relations areas. Additional Requirements + This position will require travel to home site in Rochester, NY for training + Satisfactory completion of all required background screenings. + Full vaccination against COVID-19 virus.
