Your Purpose: Under the general direction of the VP Enterprise Architect and in collaboration with the VP Infrastructure and Security, the Network Architect is responsible for developing and maintaining a high-level design plan for Lennar's technical and logical network architecture. This role oversees a complex infrastructure environment primarily composed of network environments and provides oversight across all portfolios and projects that impact network architecture. Additionally, the Network Architect monitors company-wide network standards, designs, and roadmaps across Lennar. Responsibilities Provide architectural consulting expertise, direction, and assistance to Network Analysts, Network Engineers, Network Administrators, and other Architects. Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of network development efforts and recommend technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and network flexibility. Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate plans for investing in network technologies, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities. Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to make certain network capacity meets existing and future requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network resource administration and appropriate use. Develops and deploys methodologies for testing network performance and providing network performance statistics and reports. Conducts research and makes recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all network procurement and development efforts. Ensures network services have sufficient capacity, stability, and agility to satisfy service level agreements with business units. Qualifications Key Skills: Demonstrates mastery of internetworking technologies likes VLAN, STP, and Routing Protocol like EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, Static Routing, route-redistribution, summarization, Policy-Routing, MPLS-based technologies, IP Telephony. Has working knowledge and understanding of network security, such as IPSEC tunnels, VPNs and firewalls. Strong understanding of switching technologies; trunking, spanning-tree, dot1q, VLANs, VTP, Ethernet switching, Multi-layer switching. Expertise of network management; SNMP, Netflow, IPSLA, etc. Extensive working knowledge for network services, such as HSRP, TFTP, SCP, SSH, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, DNS, NAT, etc. Full understanding of Security solutions including IPSEC, VPNS, Firewalls, and packet analysis. Knowledge of and experience with VoIP environments. Education: Requires a BA/BS in computer science or related field with a focus on Network Design and Engineering or equivalent work experience. Experience: At least 10-12 years in a collaborative environment requirements matrix management and agile development processes. Certified in Cisco Professional Certifications a plus. Specific experience with and/or management of the following: Routing and Switching – Cisco Switches and Routers; Wireless – Cisco Wireless Controllers; Firewalls – Checkpoint Firewalls; Proxy –Proxy in Cloud; Network Monitoring.
