Responsibilities

Millennium Corporation is hiring a Network Engineer (Boundary Protection) at McConnell Air Force Base, KS. Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance.   

The Network Engineer (Boundering Protection) support for management of boundary protection devices as required for specific platforms and enterprise applications. Administer the functions and capabilities of the boundary protection devices and provide as applicable, but not limited to, wing level infrastructures, application configurations, traffic management, permissions management, and data structure management.  

Inspect the router/switch, firewall, and proxy audit logs IAW AF and DoD standards for suspected security intrusions or violations, and report any suspected intrusions to the NOS immediately Configure, install, and manage routers/switches, firewalls, and proxies within the ANG enterprise Work with Wire Shark or other related packet analyzers Configure, install, and troubleshoot Tactical Local Area Network Encryption (TACLANE) devices on the ANG SIPRNet and will configure, install, and manage network switches within their AOR. Administer and monitor the Virtual Private Network (VPN), creating tunnels and certifications for all personnel needing access, install new devices ensuring compliance with DoD and AF policies, and assist in the development and review technical solutions involving the VPN. Configure, install, and manage network switches within their AOR. Provide technical expertise to manage, install and administer the ANG Enterprise Network Voice, Video and Voice over IP solutions. Provide enterprise level architectural design and modification recommendations to enhance, migrate, and secure the ANG Wide Area Network. Understanding of Air Force and ANG network systems and processes.  Qualifications Candidate must have an active Secret Clearance.  Minimum of 3 years' work related professional IT experience commensurate with tasks outlined in this service area Education: Bachelor's degree (or higher) in a related technical field. Certifications required:  Security+ CE or CISSP Certification AND Network+ or CCNA Certification Palo Alto Networks Accredited Configuration Engineer (ACE) Administrator or Blue Coat Proxy SG certification Knowledge of IT governance and operations. Knowledge Routing and Networking Protocols. Ability to monitor systems and understand status updates. Ability to work in and enter tickets in Remedy ticketing systems. Ability to deal with customers that may not be network savvy. Ability to take direction and operate without direct supervision to complete tasks. Ability to review and troubleshoot network diagrams and customer requirements. Start a project and follow it through to completion with minimal guidance. Create and complete detailed documentation and be able to explain what was completed and how Understanding of NIPRNET and SIPRNET enclaves, functions, and standards Knowledge of computer system and network infrastructure operations Understanding and application of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)  Ability to determine how IT systems should function and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcomes  Knowledge and experience installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications Ability to analyze workflow, establish priorities, and comply with standards to meet operational deadlines  Experience configuring and troubleshooting Palo-Alto firewall appliances or similar firewall platforms  Experience with Switch configuration and troubleshooting  Experience with Log Analysis tools  Experience with Bluecoat web proxy or similar web proxy application  Business Development

Assist with Business Development activities as required to support Millennium's strategic business objectives, which may include but not limited to participation in technical interviews, creation of technical documentation, general proposal writing support and proposal color reviews.

Physical Requirements Must be comfortable with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Must be able to lift up to 10-15 pounds at a time. Travel Requirements
