Network System Administrator
The Network Administrator will implement, monitor, and maintain the company's networking infrastructure and systems. This includes network components, firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, Wi-Fi, VPNs, internet circuits and the virtual networking environment. The Network Administrator will provide high-quality support services and network problem resolution to fellow members of the IT team, users, and customers. The ideal candidate is a seasoned technology professional with extensive problem solving, customer care experience and strong verbal and written communication skills. The Network Administrator will assist in evaluating new information systems, products, or services and provide network expertise for new service/product design offered by the company. Job Description: Configure network hardware/services for HQ and remote sites, including firewalls, switches, modems, Wi-Fi, cell service, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, VoIP, VPNs, and, where needed, client devicesMonitor network infrastructure for reliability, integrity, and performance and alert management when potential problems are detectedPerform and/or assist in performing selection, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network management and monitoring systems.Keep documentation of network infrastructure updatedCoordinate quick resolution of network or internet failures/outages at HQ and remote sites with ISP tech support, customers' network teams, and/or operations staff as appropriateTrain IT support personnel and end users in basic network configuration, troubleshooting and repair where appropriateTroubleshoot advanced networking issuesAssist in building secure network templates for deployment to remote locationsAssist in the establishment of internet service for new sitesAssist in network infrastructure planning and designAssist in implementing and testing disaster recovery/business continuity proceduresContribute networking knowledge to new product/service design
