Excellent opportunity for a Nocturnist interested in practicing in Chicago, Illinois.    

 

We are looking for a Nocturnist to join our team!

 

Responsibilities The physician will take admissions from the ED, consults from specialists and transfers from other local Prime hospitals.  We are a Comprehensive Stroke Center and the system hospital for high risk PCI as well as Cardiothoracic surgery.You will work a 7 on 7 off schedule, 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM.You respond to RRT and Code blue (on floor patients).There is an in house anesthesiologist  for  intubations and the eicu physician is accessible.No procedures expected.Average 8 patients admitted at night (the number of admits may vary from call days to non call days).There are an average of 2 RRT/Code blue per night.You cross cover on the hospitalist service patients (approximately 54 - 58 patients). Qualifications Board certified or Board eligible, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Current Illinois Medical License - MD or DO (or in process)Unrestricted Current DEA RegistrationClean backgroundTeam PlayerACLS certification is requiredProcedures not required
