Title: RMA and Rework Technician

Summary: The RMA & Rework Technician is responsible for testing, verifying, and refurbishing the incoming RMA units from the field in a timely manner at a high level of quality and precision. This position will also support the Production and Quality teams with troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

Location: Fremont, California (this is not a remote position)

Hours: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

Salary: This is a full-time, non-exempt position, earning $26.00 per hour, exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.

Experience

We're looking for a talented and dedicated Developer Support Engineer to assist our technical customers with using our Data Collection devices and SDK in a variety of Mobile and Web development frameworks. You would be part of our Customer Success team and would be focused on helping our customers streamline technical integration efforts. The ideal candidate would have a software development background and be comfortable in a customer-facing position.

Responsibilities & Duties

Evaluate, troubleshoot, and test customer-returned products.Repair and refurbish products to production-level quality.Function as the point of escalation from Support and Engineering on Failure Analysis activities.Provide technical expertise in quoting and performing rework projects.Assist with documenting and communicating hardware quality issues to the appropriate department.Work with Test Engineering to optimize Production and RMA test coverage.Identify reoccurring issues and share knowledge with others to assist with defect prevention.Conduct and document Failure Analysis activities on suspect router and modem devicesAssist in maintaining RMA Metrics.Maintain acceptable levels of RMA inventory.Assist with process documentation.Support other departments within Operations as needed.Participate in continuously improving the RMA department and RMA process.

Qualifications and Skills
