NTAM Regulatory Relations Specialist

The NTAM Regulatory Relations Specialist is a new key role that will have accountability for fostering trusted working relationships with the firm’s key regulators.  Primary areas of focus include regular strategic communications and presentations, managing responses to regulatory findings, and coordinating regulatory change action plans. The role reports to the Head of Investment Platform Services and works across the NTAM Executive Team to carry out its duties.  The ideal candidate will have expertise in asset management regulatory affairs, strategic communications, planning, and project management.   

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Guide relationship building with key regulators through management of ongoing dialogue on BAU and emerging business issues.Manage response to standard and ad-hoc regulatory inquiries.Organize and manage preparations for regular and ad-hoc exams.  Lead material preparations to relay a cohesive story and guide presenters in development of key messages.Analyze newly proposed regulations, propose and coordinate NTAM viewpoints and comments during solicitation periods, promoting NTAM’s industry leadership on regulatory developments.Manage impact of regulatory change on business practices.  Work in concert with Risk, Legal, Compliance and Product teams to stay abreast of regulatory change and lead cross functional efforts to implement change and align the business with the evolving regulatory landscape. Serve as lead project management resource for uplift of standards and controls for business resiliency.

Experience Required

Seasoned investment professional with a minimum of 7-10 years of industry experiencePrior experience in a regulatory liaison role is a plusMBA, JD and/or advanced degree strongly preferred.
