SUMMARY

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with Cardiology, you play an important part in high quality nuclear medicine procedures needed to deliver quality care to our patients.

STATUS: Full Time and Part Time Opportunities Available

LOCATION: Rochester General Hospital

DEPARTMENT: Non-Invasive Cardiology

SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday (8AM-4:30PM). No weekends/holidays.

ATTRIBUTES

Bachelors degree in Nuclear MedicineTwo (2) years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist referredNYS License in Nuclear MedicineNMTCB and/or ARRT (NM)Strong computer and interpersonal/communication skills .

RESPONSIBILITIES

Equipment Operation. Perform a variety of diagnostic exams and quality assurance procedures; ensures that nuclear imaging equipment is in optimal working condition. Patient Care. Maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients throughout the area; educate patients regarding their procedure and maintain a safe, comfortable and supportive environment for the patient throughout the examDocumentation. Maintains clear documentation within radiopharmacy  information systems 

EDUCATION:

BS: Nuclear Medicine Technology (Required)

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: 

NMT - Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), RT(R) - Registered Radiologic Technologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED), RTC - Radiologic Technologist certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.

PAY RANGE:

$34.00 - $47.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
