**Job Type:** Per Diem **Time Type:** Part time **Work Shift:** Day (United States of America) **FLSA Status:** Exempt **When you join the growing BILH team, you're not just taking a job, you’re making a difference in people’s lives.** Nurse Practitioner- Pre-Admission Testing **Job Description:** **Nurse Practitioner** **Anna Jaques Hospital** **Pre-Admission Testing** **Under the supervision of the Director of Peri-operative Services, the Pre-Admission Testing Nurse Practitioner will coordinate the preoperative assessment and evaluation of the surgical patient; striving to integrate patient care across the continuum of health care services in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, families and patients. In this role, you will:** **Ensure safe and effective peri-operative assessment and care of surgical patients in collaboration with the Anesthesia department and surgeon** **Conduct a history and physical, order labs, EKG and x-rays.** **Effectively identify and evaluate the findings, while complying with anesthesia evaluation guidelines.** **Assess surgical patients for medical and anesthesia clearance, enhance and improve quality of care through the pre-surgical screening of surgical patients; including increasing efficiencies for day of surgery along with improved patient satisfaction.** **Qualifications:** **MA Nurse Practitioner license** **Experience in similar setting highly preferred.** **As a health care organization, we have a responsibility to do everything in our power to care for and protect our patients, our colleagues and our communities.
