Nutrition Services Supervisor (FT- 1 FTE)

Position Summary: 

The Nutrition Services Supervisor is responsible for assisting with planning, directing, organizing, monitoring and staffing departmental services subject to policies, budgets, objectives and directives mandated by regulatory agencies, DNV and the hospital administrative team. The Nutrition Services Supervisor works with the Nutrition Services Manager in establishing and enforcing the Nutrition Services' polices and standard operating procedures. Oversees daily services and performances of the nutrition service employees. Participates and coordinates food services for patients, employees and visitors. Ensures adequate daily staffing, timeliness of service and standards of service. Maintains employee documentation, corrective action and evaluations. Trains and orientates new employees. Actively participates in cafeteria, tray line, cafeteria, production, dish room to ensure services are properly executed. Communicates and coordinates food services with nursing and other ancillary departments in the absence of the Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent2 years’ Food Service experience

Preferred

Associated Degree in Food Service or 2 years relevant experienceServSafe Food Protection Manager certificationCurrent Certified Dietary Manager2 years of food service experience at Bozeman Health

Physical Requirements

Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling: Lift 50 pounds of weight (pick up materials, move equipment, etc.) Carry equipment/supplies. Use upper body strength (repair and maintenance work, etc.)Extended Hours: The role may involve working for extended periods, requiring sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily.Flexible Schedule: The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.On-Call Availability: On-call work may be required to respond to organizational and patient needs promptly.Effective Communication: Proficient in effective communication, both in person and through various technologies.Handling Challenging Situations: The role may involve dealing with upset individuals, requiring the ability to de-escalate situations and work effectively with frustrated patients or familiesRepetitive Tasks: Ability to perform repetitive tasks as needed to fulfill job responsibilities.
