Occupational Therapist

Pay $57,220.80 - $64,355.20 annually / 12-Month School Calendar!

The Registered Occupational Therapist is responsible to evaluate and assess program participants, educate individuals and team members, complete required documentation, communicate wit other health care professionals on the program participants’ IPP/IEP, assist with departmental maintenance and supplies, participate in Agency activities, assist in orientation to the department and assist with equipment adaptation.

 

Core Responsibilities 

Evaluate and assess program participants on an ongoing basis. Plan and implement appropriate treatment and goals based upon the evaluation. Educate findings of the evaluation, established treatment plants, methods of treatment, and if possible, the individual’s prognosis. Educate team members about on-going services, injury prevention, range of motion, positioning and any other area within the scope of occupational therapy. Complete all required documentation according to program regulations. Communicates with other health care professionals relating to all aspects of the Individual Program Plan IP and Individual Education Plan (IEP). Assist in orienting students, volunteers and new therapists within the program; provide supervision for therapy assistants as required. Provides assessment, fabrication and modification and repair of splints and other adaptive equipment.

 

Qualifications 

Minimum Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy plus must be registered. Current OTR licensure Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License.
