Our client located in Ajax, Ontario is seeking a Planner/ Scheduler. Reporting to the Supply Chain & Quality Manager, the successful individual will be responsible for coordinating the return of parts going out for outside direct processing. This will include liaising with Suppliers and internal departments and systems directly related to this process. Emphasis is on attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work in a fast-paced environment within a small team.
This is a day shift position (100% onsite)
Job Title: ODC Planner
Pay rate: $30-$33/hr (37 hours per week)
Start Date: May 19, 2025
2 years contract with possibility of extension
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Handle various aspects of the ODC Process – sales order creation, work order creation, purchase order creation, quote preparation, job tracking and reporting, warranty adjudication and contract disputes (as applicable, with management support).• Prepare and send open order reports to suppliers for updates and analyze impacts of dates provided.
• Preparation and analysis of cost estimates and scope of work verification.
• Maintain timely and direct contact with Suppliers to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction is achieved and contract terms are met.
• Create, maintain, and publish weekly status reports and monthly KPI's as required.
• Analyze performance and recommend corrective actions in conjunction with internal and external partners.
• Manage and plan all aspects of shipments to and from the suppliers to support on shop floor requirements.
• Support Internal and external supplier inspection strategies based on robust processes & measurement systems, statistical performance and risk rating.
• Timely and effective investigation and closure of all found non-conformances from vendors (Using RPO,8D methodology, root cause corrective action and failure analysis reports).
• Support Finance with all costing disputes.
• Participate in supplier assessments [Desk Audits /onsite audits].
• Performance results to identify trends and opportunities to take corrective and continuous improvement actions and spot delivery problems before they happen. RequirementsA University Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration or a related field is preferred Familiar with Canadian Aviation Regulations pertaining to component maintenance and airworthiness requirements would be an asset. Extensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications including Access, PowerPoint, Excel and Word Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
