On-Air Talent

Univision Radio is seeking a full-time On-Air Talent that is energetic, interactive, and social media savvy to bring that passion to our stations.

ABOUT YOU:

The successful candidate will perform On-Air Duties as assigned, and in the community as assigned by Content Director.

YOUR DAY-DAY:

Responsible for creating, writing, and delivering creative elements on-air, including attention-grabbing topics/issues for the showFollow designated show formatPerform activities which will include producing content for Univision websites and Social Media pages and promoting various company accountsAlways maintain compliance with FCC regulations, including awareness of prohibited language on-airResearch information as requested for showCreate bits and/or stunts to be used during their show, as appropriateAir music as scheduled and as provided by the Content DirectorAir all liners, promos and commercials as loggedOperate system board efficiently, including making necessary stop breaks and timely announcements, including sponsorships and name mentionsCreative production and editing of commercials (voiceovers) for clients and station as directed by Production ManagerCreate and write copy as assignedWorks with the traffic department to ensure all commercial copy is correct and dates and times of airing are as provided by sales.Meets with clients when necessary to prepare commercials on and off siteAssist in the development and carrying out of station and on-air promotionsFollow contest rules and station rules regarding station contestsParticipation in remotes and van hits as assigned by Content Director/Promotions SupervisorLive appearances/broadcasts on location as assigned by Content Director/Promotions SupervisorParticipation and involvement within the communityDrive to events/remotes and other special occasions, as neededProduce timely, complete, and accurate reports, as requestedSpecial attention to deadlinesRegular attendance and punctualityOther duties as deemed necessary

YOU HAVE:

Passion for Music is a MUSTHigh School Diploma preferredMust have excellent ability to speak, read and write Spanish and EnglishMust be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekendsAbility to work with all levels of managementKnowledge of Microsoft Office/Outlook software packagesKnowledge of programming and production software (i.e. Zetta, Audition, Console Production, Collateral Hardware, and Music Master)Excellent interpersonal skillsEnthusiastic, dedicated, and self-motivatedGood problem solving and organizational skillsMust have a valid driver’s license, adequate transportation for driving and a good driving recordMust be willing to work from office in Chicago, ILMust be available to travel out of city, state and country
