About the role

Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the CDL-A Driver will be responsible for daily operation of fleet vehicle transporting equipment and cargo to field destinations and back. 

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate CDL-A vehicles and comply with DOT and Covanta StandardsPlan routes, complete inspections of vehicle/cargo.Review documents for accuracy.Maintain clean and orderly truck and trailer.Report any incidents.

This position is OTR 21 days and home 7 then repeat - DOT applicable hours

Qualifications: (what is required for someone to be successful in the position)

GED/HS Diploma preferred - Covanta offers GED Works – a fully funded program for employees to achieve their GED.Valid CDL A with 2 years verifiable experience OTRCurrent Hazmat and Tanker endorsements with 2 years experienceGood driving recordHigh attention to detail

Physical Demands:

Able to lift, push, pull up to 50lbs.Able to travel for 3 weeks at a time.Able to sit for long periods of time.
