Outreach/Communication Lead
Leads Outreach/Communications Specialists team, providing strategic oversignt for briefings, development of materials, and management of stakeholder outreach. The Lead Outreach/Communication Specialist will oversee and guide a team of two Outreach/Communication Specialists while actively performing outreach duties. This coach/player role requires the Lead to dedicate 75% of their time to executing the same responsibilities as the Outreach/Communication Specialists and 25% to providing oversight, collecting and reporting data to the Program Management Office (PMO), and ensuring alignment with program goals. The Lead will play a critical role in driving strategic outreach efforts, maintaining quality standards, and fostering collaboration within the team. Reports to Deputy Program Manager. + Collaborate with Program Manage/Deputy PM to develop strategic plans for partnerships and collaborations. + Oversee outreach efforts to Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Veteran Support Organizations (VSOs), Military Support Organizations (MSOs). + Supervise and mentor two Outreach/Communication Specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution of responsibilities. + Collect, analyze, and report outreach data to the PMO, ensuring accurate tracking of activities and outcomes. + Monitor team performance and provide recommendations for process improvements and enhanced strategies. + Ensure alignment of outreach efforts with program goals and government directives. + Outreach Execution (Coach/Player Role): + Coordinate and conduct outreach activities, including MTF briefings, conferences, Yellow Ribbon events, and other government-identified initiatives. + Present and disseminate information about inTransition, RWC, and PHCoE at events. + Maintain media relations to expand the reach and impact of initiatives. + Develop written outreach materials and provide recommendations for improved strategies. + Collaborate with Program Manage/Deputy PM to develop strategic plans for partnerships and collaborations. + Oversee outreach efforts to Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and Veteran Support Organizations (VSOs), Military Support Organizations (MSOs). + Write conference and report summaries, providing actionable recommendations. + Provide administrative support for meetings and initiatives involving inTransition and related programs. **Minimum Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field. Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field preferred. + Strong project management and public speaking skills. + 6-8 years of experience with 5+ years experience in outreach, communications, or stakeholder engagement in military healthcare, or government programs. + Expertise with military health systems, transition processes, military and VA behavioral health systems + Experience developing military program communication materials and leading outreach campaigns. + Strong ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external government stakeholders. + Clearance Level: Public Trust + Prepared to travel ~25% of the time **Other Job Specific Skills** + Experience working with government/military programs or initiatives. + Knowledge of military and veteran support organizations. + Expertise in media relations and social media strategy. + Familiarity with Psychological Health initiatives and campaigns. + Proficiency in using virtual communication tools and platforms. + Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and report data to leadership teams. **Compensation Ranges** Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience.
