Position Title: Part-time Faculty - (YourPace) Campus: Presque Isle Department: Competency Based Education - ICBE Location: Presque Isle ME Bargaining Unit: PATFA Work Schedule: Varies Statement of the Job: YourPace Degree Programs ADJUNCT FACULTY University of Maine at Presque Isle A public institution for competency-based education (CBE) accredited by New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE), the YourPace at University of Maine at Presque Isle degree programs are self-paced, student-driven, student-centered, subscription education model that primarily serves adult learners. YourPace allows high flexibility for students without compromising academic quality. YourPace invites applications for Adjunct Faculty from a wide range of disciplines and professional skills for undergraduate and graduate degree programs to begin at any of our six, eight-week session start dates. Currently, YourPace has programs for the following degrees: + Organizational Leadership, M.A. + Accounting, B.A. + Business Administration, Accounting minor, B.A. + Business Administration, Management and Leadership minor, B.A. + Business Administration, Marketing minor, B.A. + Business Administration, Project Management, B.A. + Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, B.A. + Criminal Justice, B.A. + History and Political Science, B.A. + English, Professional Communication and Journalism concentration, B.A. + Bachelor of Liberal Studies, Accounting minor + Bachelor of Liberal Studies, Education Studies minor + Bachelor of Liberal Studies, Management minor + Bachelor of Liberal Studies, Management Information Systems minor + Bachelor of Liberal Studies, Project Management minor Although all YourPace competencies are fully online and asynchronous, interpersonal interactions with students are expected. YourPace Adjunct Faculty are compensated based on the number of students that complete assigned competencies at the end of the session. Technology Requirements YourPace Adjunct Faculty are required to have the appropriate technology to teach in a fully online environment. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications + Experience teaching at the college-level + Online teaching experience + Adjunct Faculty for undergraduate degree programs must have at minimum, a master’s degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent work experience in a related field + Adjunct Faculty for graduate degree programs must have a Doctorate, terminal, advanced degree in field of study, or significant work experience in a related field Preferred Qualifications + Teaching in a competency-based education model Other Information: Employees in the University of Maine System are required to comply with UMS COVID protocols which currently include, but are not limited to, being vaccinated, obtaining a qualified vaccination exemption, and/or participating in regular COVID testing.
