Commencing September 2024 $4,500 Stipend per course/semester MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: BOCES is partnering with Tompkins County Community College (TC3) to offer regional online courses through their College Now program. Teachers will be required to become approved instructors through TC3. Students from participating school districts will be participating in the dual-enrollment asynchronous courses either in the fall semester (September-January) or spring semester (February-June). BOCES is looking for Grades 7-12 certified teachers to teach the following courses: CSCI 160- Computer Science I HLTH 205 - First Aid & Safety Education CSCI 165- Computer Science II BUAD 204 -Principles of Marketing MATH 202 - Calculus II CAPS 152 - Web Page Design BIOL 131 - Principles of Human Anatomy & Physiology POSC 103 - American National Gov. ENGL 100 - Academic Writing I ECHD 125 -Intro to Early Childhood Education DRAF 117- Architectural Drafting I PSYC103 - Introduction to Psychology ENGL 201 -Public Speaking METR 101- Introductory Meteorology CollegeNow Instructors will: + Teach asynchronous courses using the CollegeNow/ SUNY Tompkins Community College Syllabus + Monitor student progress and provide them with timely feedback. + Take attendance, grade assignments, and report grades in LMS + Make regular contact with students enrolled in each course + Be available for weekly synchronous online instruction and/or office hours (TBD) + Be available for monthly check-in meetings with BOCES + Adhere to all procedures set forth by SUNY TC3, their CollegeNow program, and BT BOCES + Be given paid time (hourly rate) in the summer to prepare their courses Job Qualifications REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: + Appropriate NYS Certification required + Approval as CollegeNow Instructor – click here for minimum qualifications (https://www.tompkinscortland.edu/sites/default/files/documents/ce\_basic\_qualifications\_14.pdf) Civil Service Title: Teacher Job Number: 24-158
