Patient Access Senior Associate

The Patient Access Sr Associate has skill set encompassing multiple facets of Patient Access. The Sr. Associate has been cross trained in 2 or more units and is flexible to be assigned in any trained unit for the day and time needed for the operational needs. In addition, the Sr. Associate as defined within the unit, may also have oversight of daily workflow assignments and assessing vulnerability of work unable to be completed, escalating as identified.
Knowledge encompasses the Patient Access Representative and Patient Access Specialist. (See Patient Access Specialist job description)
The Sr. Associate position is responsible for understanding billing process including complex concepts of billing ie: Hospital Based Clinic Billing. In addition, working and monitoring daily reports and worklists is critical to ensure registration errors; established operational workflows are not delaying billing of services.

Education:

 Associates; Bachelors preferred

Licensure, Certification & Registration:

CHAA (or acquired within 2 years of hire)

Experience:

Strong computer skill5 - 7 years Hospital or Physician office experienceStrong insurance knowledge regarding payer contract interpretation including Authorization Requirements and Setting of CareCross trained in 2 or more units in Patient Access and/or includes oversight of daily workflow within a primary unit
