Summary

JOB SUMMARY

Functions of the Patient Observer are to provide continuous close monitoring for behavioral management or protective management observation. The following behavioral patients may require a patient observer: suicidal precautions, suspicious/aggressive/threatening behavior, elopement precautions, psychiatric patients, patients under influence of alcohol or other substances. A patient observer may also be utilized in extraordinary circumstances, when routine interventions do not ensure patient safety.

REQUIREMENTS Preferred High School Diploma Less than 2 years Required
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Strong Communication skills . Strong Organizational and Prioritizations skills. Carroll Hospital is a minimal-lift facility which means that any moving or lifting of patients must be done with appropriate equipment and/or techniques taught through the Safe Lift program. Appropriate equipment or techniques must be used.
