Payroll Specialist  - Full Time

Enola, PA

The Payroll Specialist will oversee a cluster of managed facilities, and partner with the facility Human Resource Director to ensure timely and accurate pay processing on a weekly basis.  This position reports to the Payroll Supervisor as part of the Finance department, and works closely with corporate and field level HR personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Payroll

Maintain and oversee payroll indicative data submitted by HR personnel through on-boarding documentation, and employee data changes through business processes, to ensure accurate wage, tax, and account information within PAM’s system of record; Ultimate Software Receives, analyzes, inserts, and processes ancillary pay requests submitted outside of the time & attendance module (bonuses, on-call incentives, etc.) Review and reconcile hours authorized by facility Directors for accuracy
Create time and attendance export files from Ultimate’s T&A module, import time files into Ultimate’s web based payroll solution, and identify and reconcile discrepancies Perform pay over pay analysis in combination with pre-process audit reporting Monitor and maintain PTO utilization and balances Review/Approve/Update changes being made from business processes / workflow (Name, address, rate, job, account info, etc.) Prepares check requests for payroll related items where applicable Prepares off-cycle manual checks when warranted Assists Payroll Director with any necessary maintenance within Ultimate Software’s time & attendance and web based payroll solutions, and assists with testing of new releases or updates Researches and responds to facility HR Directors on employee inquiries regarding payroll related matters Prepares and maintains pre-process, and post process payroll reporting Maintains files of reports and source documents in a neat and orderly manner

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Training:    High School diploma or GED with prior work history in payroll/human resources.

Experience:  2-3 years of experience in a payroll positon within in a mid to large company; human resources administrative experience. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Must have working knowledge of computers. Must be able to input data accurately. Must be able to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Must exhibit telephone etiquette, customer service, and problem solving skills (within scope of job). Be able to type accurately and with enough speed to complete assignments in a timely fashion. Must have a general knowledge of accounting functions and pay day law within the scope of the payroll function. Have general office skills to include file maintenance, alphabetizing, and prioritizing of work.
