D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Permit Manager for their Main Office Department.The right candidate will oversee all aspects of permits, plan packages and architecture.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate the timely preparation and submission of individual lot Building PermitsCoordinate all permit submittalsPlan preparationFacilitate communication with architectsDevelop department overhead budgetInterface with all municipal governing bodies, pulic utilities and industry associationsOversee the field operation and production times that the homes are ready for homeowner orientations and occupancySet build times on each plan and provide schedules to meet the build timesReview vendor surveys each month before they are sent outVisit job sites periodically and enforce policies

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervisestwo or moreemployees in Permitting. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Must have a vehicle, a valid driver's license, and be willing to travel.
