The **Pharmacy Purchasing and Operations Specialist/Acute Care** serves as a resource in the areas of the pharmacy supply chain, strategic purchasing, and their interdependent impacts on operational financial success. Areas of focus include pharmaceutical purchasing, vendor contract agreements, price parity analysis, credit/ rebill process, and devising strategies to help minimize drug shortage impacts. This position performs daily analysis of opportunities to improve or maximize pharmacy strategic purchasing opportunities and requires the ability to problem-solve in real time. The position works under the direction of the Network Manager of the Pharmacy Supply Chain and will interact with local pharmacies daily. **Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required** : + High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs. + Minimum of 3 or more years of experience working in a hospital pharmacy. + Exceptional understanding of pharmacy technology and reporting abilities (EPIC Willow, Omnicell, Peoplesoft, etc.). + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms. **Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred** : + Two or more years experience as a Hospital Pharmacy Technician. + Two or more years experience as a hospital pharmacy buyer. + Pharmacy Technician Certification from New Jersey State Board of Pharmacy.
