Pharmacy Purchasing Buyer

Coordinates purchase of equipment, supplies, and other materials for assigned departments.  Responsibilities involving conducting price reviews, placing orders, and maintaining inventories and associated records.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

 

Associate’s degree in Business Administration and/or 3 years hospital purchasing experience. Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain and accounting principles. Knowledge and experience in the use of MS Office and purchasing applications Communicates effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to plan and prioritize a wide variety of activities in a high-volume, fast-paced environment

PHARMACY

 

Current registration as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Georgia and three (3) years Pharmacy Technician experience. Successful completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Exam recognized by the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, coworkers, and others as necessary. Knowledge and skill in the operation of personal computers and office equipment.

 

PREFERRED

Five (5) years’ experience in hospital purchasing. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Healthcare related field. Project Management; ability to work collaboratively with others and build positive business relationships
